Drs. Justin Dickerson DVM & Susie Dickerson DVM

Our TeamNorthside Veterinary Hospital has been established since 2004 and is owned by Drs. Justin and Susie Dickerson.

Dr. Justin grew up in Wesson, MS and spent his spare time riding, training and showing quarter horses. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi State University before graduating from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. He has practiced at Animal Medical Clinic in Cleveland, MS as a mixed animal veterinarian, Animal Emergency Clinic in Jackson, MS as small animal emergency veterinarian, and Brookhaven Animal Hospital as a small animal exclusive veterinarian before buying Northside Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Susie grew up on a family dairy farm outside of Aberdeen, MS. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2006 and Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She practiced small animal medicine at All Animal Hospital, in Tupelo, MS, Animal Emergency Clinic in Jackson, MS, and Southwest Animal Hospital in Summit, MS before moving to Cullman, AL.

Justin and Susie have one son, 2 dachshunds, 2 cats, 2 Pekin ducks, and 5 quarter horses. In their spare time, they enjoy visiting family in Mississippi, riding and showing Quarter horses, fishing, and going to the gym.


Ashley


Ashley has a lifelong interest in small animals. She graduated from Good Hope and completed the Veterinary Technician program through Jefferson State after graduation. She has been working in the veterinary field for 7 years, and her professional area of interest is surgical anesthesia and recovery. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys crafting of all types and snuggling with her Cocker Spaniel.


Jessie


Jessie was born and raised in Jasper, Alabama. She has worked in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Assistant for over 6 years. She previously lived in Texas but moved back home to Alabama to help care for a family member and be closer to her family. Jessie became a member of the Northside Veterinary Hospital team in 2021. She says she loves her job and can’t wait to help take care of your beloved pets.
