Drs. Justin Dickerson DVM & Susie Dickerson DVM

Northside Veterinary Hospital has been established since 2004 and is owned by Drs. Justin and Susie Dickerson.

Dr. Justin grew up in Wesson, MS and spent his spare time riding, training and showing quarter horses. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi State University before graduating from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. He has practiced at Animal Medical Clinic in Cleveland, MS as a mixed animal veterinarian, Animal Emergency Clinic in Jackson, MS as small animal emergency veterinarian, and Brookhaven Animal Hospital as a small animal exclusive veterinarian before buying Northside Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Susie grew up on a family dairy farm outside of Aberdeen, MS. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 2006 and Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She practiced small animal medicine at All Animal Hospital, in Tupelo, MS, Animal Emergency Clinic in Jackson, MS, and Southwest Animal Hospital in Summit, MS before moving to Cullman, AL.

Justin and Susie have one son, 2 dachshunds, 2 cats, 2 Pekin ducks, and 5 quarter horses. In their spare time, they enjoy visiting family in Mississippi, riding and showing Quarter horses, fishing, and going to the gym.

Haley

Haley is a veterinary assistant at Northside. She is married to Trevor and they have 2 daughters. She has 3 dogs and 1 cat for pets but owns a farm that raises beef, pork and poultry. She enjoys spending time with her daughters showing livestock (lambs, goats, pigs) and being outdoors.

Peyton

Peyton joined our team in 2026 as a veterinary assistant. She is from Arab, Alabama and graduated from Arab High School. She is continuing her education at Wallace State Community College. She has a poodle, a dachshund and a cat. She enjoys painting, reading, movies and shopping. She has a love for animals and a heart for veterinary medicine.

Paige H.

Paige joined our team in 2024 as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from West Point High School and is continuing her education at Wallace State Community College for Agri-Science Education. Paige is married to her high school sweetheart and together have a pet family including a liver-spotted Dalmatian named Odie, a red heeler named Banjo, and a border collie mix named Freckles. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of their herd of cattle, spending time with family and friends, camping, and attending livestock shows.

Becca P.

Becca joined the Northside team in 2025. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and moved to Cullman in 2022 after meeting her husband. She has worked as a Certified Veterinary Assistant since 2019 and has an 11-year background in human med. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy fishing, hiking, camping, gardening, and spending time with their grandchildren. They are also proud owners of four dogs and 4 goats.

Megan R.

Megan is a veterinary assistant. She is married and a proud mom of 3 (and one more on the way). She has 2 dogs, a German Shepherd and Frenchie. She enjoys running, being outdoors, fishing and hunting. She is a lifelong Cullman resident and graduated from Cullman High School.

Sam K.

Sam is our Receptionist. She is originally from Minnesota and married with a daughter. She enjoys traveling and has been to 47 states and 2 countries. She has 2 dogs, a border collie and blue heeler, and 3 cats in the family (all from working in veterinary medicine).
